Idyllically set on the edge of open access land and a short distance from the charming village of Lydford in Dartmoor National Park. This Southern Railway workers cottage in times gone by is now a newly renovated, fully furnished self catering holiday cottage. 

 

 There is a king size double in the master bedroom and a small snug with views across the open moor.

In the lounge there is a log burner for cozy evenings. There is a fully equipped kitchen and a beautiful detached garden with views towards the high moors of Dartmoor National Park.

From stepping out of the front door you can be on the open moorland with an abundance of options for hiking on Dartmoor. Cycle from the cottage along the Granite Way, and tour Dartmoor, Devon and beyond from this rural but easily accessible cottage. 

 

The famous Lydford Gorge is also only a stones throw away from the cottage, and the delights of the village of Lydford are only around a mile up the road. 

​

The village of Lydford boasts two pubs and a local farm shop. The historic and  bustling market town of Tavistock is a ten minute drive away and offers a market, along with an array of local shops and larger supermarkets.
